Nigerian megastar Burna Boy is leading the way in bringing Nigerian music to the world with his award-winning albums and historic sold-out concerts.
In a surprising move, Burna Boy announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he will release a new album in just 24 hours.
This announcement comes shortly after Burna Boy celebrated the fifth anniversary of his Grammy-nominated 2019 album, ‘African Giant,’ with a concert at the Koko Camden.
Although Burna Boy has released five albums in six years, this sudden announcement caught fans off guard. Some believe it might be a prank or a deliberately vague message, as such an unplanned release is unlike Burna Boy’s usual careful planning. Additionally, it’s uncommon for artists to release new music on a Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Burna Boy released a single titled ‘Higher,‘ expressing gratitude for his success in a music video that took him back to his hometown of Port Harcourt.
