Buhari approves postponement of APC NEC meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the indefinite suspension of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting slated for Tuesday.

The suspension of the NEC was one of the agreements reached during the meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and all Governors on the platform known as the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) at the State House on Monday.

The meeting was scheduled by some aggrieved members of the party who want the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole ousted.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday suspended the hearing of the case of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

The court had, last week sent notices of hearing to parties in the appeal. But, when parties got to court today, a panel of three Justices led by Justice Stephen Adah sat to hear other cases.

The panel later rose, with a promise that another panel will be reconstituted to hear Oshiomhole’s appeal.

In a surprise move, rather than constituting a new panel, a female official of the court announced to a packed courtroom that the court has elected to hear Oshiomhole’s appeal on a later date to be communicated to parties later.
