BREAKING: Tinubu Did Nothing Wrong If He Had A Change Of Name – Peter Obi

No plot will stifle Nigeria's political opposition - Obi on Abure's arrest

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential elections has put out a call to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reintroduce himself to Nigerians.

In a press conference today, Peter Obi reacting to the trail of events surrounding Tinubu’s Chicago State University certificate and identity crisis, said Tinubu did nothing wrong if he has had a change of name at any time.   Obi said that there is no need for court affidavit, court process, agents or surrogate to speak for Tinubu. It only requires a direct personal statement from Tinubu to lay to rest once and for all the many lingering questions regarding Tinubu’s identity.

“A leader cannot outsource a clear unambiguous personal statement about his identity to political surrogates, official spokespersons, lawyers or any other persons no matter how highly placed. A matter of personal identity of a leader is too sensitive to be trifled with. It is about integrity”, Peter Obi said.

He emphasized that the need for over 200 million Nigerians to know the true identity of the president overrides any personal consideration the president may put forward and that the international community also has to know the leader they relate with.

Peter Obi hinted that the matter is an urgent one that requires immediate attention and that Nigerians image have been affected negatively on a global scale because of the whole drama.
