Reports say suspected political thugs stormed the coalition of results of the APC primary election for the governorship election in Edo State.
It was gathered that the results were being announced at Lushville Hotel and Suite in Benin when the thugs disrupted, causing chaos and injuring several journalists.
The presence of the state Commissioner of Police Funsho Adeboye did not however stop the thugs from the violence.
It was learnt that before the disruption, results from eight local government areas had been announced.
As of press time, it was not yet clear what went wrong.
