BREAKING: Supreme Court Affirms David Mark as ADC National Chairman

The leadership tussle rocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC) took a decisive turn on Thursday as the Supreme Court of Nigeria delivered a landmark judgment affirming Senator David Mark and his executive team as the duly recognised leadership of the party.

In a unanimous ruling, the apex court upheld their legitimacy, effectively strengthening their position within the party structure and putting to rest competing claims over control of the ADC, The News Chronicle reports.

The court, however, directed that the substantive issues in the dispute be returned to the Federal High Court for continuation of proceedings, ensuring the legal process runs its full course.

The judgment is seen as a major boost for the Mark-led faction, as it reinforces their authority while further clarifying the party’s leadership direction ahead of key political engagements.

Following the ruling, moves are expected to commence toward updating the party’s leadership status on the INEC portal in line with the court’s pronouncement.

Responding to the judgment, the ADC leadership says it remains committed to unity, internal democracy, and strengthening its structures nationwide.
