A vehicle reportedly lost control and rammed into Muslim worshippers after Friday prayers in Damagum, Yobe State, leaving several people injured.
According to local sources, the incident occurred shortly after congregants concluded Juma’at prayers, when the car, described as a Toyota model, veered off course and drove into the crowd.

Eyewitnesses said multiple victims sustained varying degrees of injuries and were immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Damagum for medical attention. The exact number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
In the aftermath of the incident, angry youths at the scene reportedly set the vehicle ablaze before security operatives could intervene.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
