Residents of Golgoro community in Sukuntuni Ward, Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State, have been forced to flee their homes following a fresh wave of attacks by armed bandits On Sunday.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that men, women, children, and the elderly are currently fleeing to nearby areas in search of safety, with many uncertain about where they will find shelter. The situation has created a growing humanitarian concern as displaced families are left without basic necessities.
Sources revealed that the attackers stormed the community earlier in the day, killing at least six people during the raid. The violence has intensified fear among residents, prompting a mass exodus from the area.
Community members are now calling on the Katsina State Government to urgently intervene by restoring security, protecting lives and property, and facilitating the safe return of displaced residents to their homes.
