BREAKING: Protest Breaks Out In Oyo Over Hardship

Reports coming in have that residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Monday 19, February took to the street to protest the increasing price of food items in the market and the high cost of living across the country.

It was gathered that protesters who converged around the Mokola area in the state carrying placards with various inscriptions ranging from, ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others, were also chanting songs to register their grievances and displeasure over the state of hardship across the country.

 

 

As of press time, armed policemen were seen at the protest scene trying to contend any possible break down of law and order that may arise from the protest.
