BREAKING: NLC Suspends Strike For One Week

The organized labour unions, made up of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC have suspended the barely two days indefinite strike action for one week.

This decision followed a joint national executive council meeting of the unions holding in Abuja on Tuesday 4th June.

Recall that the organized labour had earlier announced that the strike was still in effect pending its Tuesday’s meeting.

The union had met with the federal government at the office of the Secretary to the Federation where the government expressed commitment to the increase the minimum wage beyond the 60, 000 earlier offered.
