BREAKING: NLC Stage Protest In Lagos, Abuja Over Hardship

Reports coming in indicate that members of the Nigeria Labour Congress have flooded the streets of Lagos State to express their grievances over the prevailing economic hardship being faced by Nigerians across the country.

It was gathered that the organized labor are also protesting government’s alleged failure to implement agreements reached between both parties on October 2, 2023, as a result of the fuel subsidy removal.

The ongoing strike action followed the conclusion of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government to implement measures against the widespread hardship.

Meanwhile, the meeting between the federal government and the Labour Union last night ended in deadlock as the union vowed not to back down from the protest.

The protest, expected to continue tomorrow, drew a large number of NLC members who stormed Ikeja, under bridge chanting and dancing while calling on the government to give listening ears to their demands.
