BREAKING: Nigeria’s Inflation Slumps to 16.05%, Seventh Consecutive Drop

Nigeria’s inflation rate fell for the seventh consecutive month, easing to 16.05% in October 2025 from 18.02% in September, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported on Monday.

The 0.93% month-on-month decline underscores a sustained slowdown in price pressures across the economy. Food inflation also dipped, recording -0.37% month-on-month, signalling easing pressures on household budgets.

In October 2025, the headline inflation rate eased to 16.05% relative to September’s 18.02%. The food inflation rate was -0.37% month-on-month,” the NBS said on X.

The latest data confirms analysts’ expectations of continued moderation, reflecting improved supply conditions and the impact of recent economic policies.
