The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the list of successful applicants for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued on Wednesday obtained by The News Chronicle, the Commission said the recruitment exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders.
According to the PSC, candidates can check their recruitment status on the official portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Successful applicants will also receive notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS.
The Chairman of the PSC, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Hashimu Salihu Argungu, said successful candidates are expected to report to designated Police Training Institutions for medical examinations and documentation on dates that will be announced later.
He warned that any candidate who fails to report as scheduled or does not pass the required medical examination will be disqualified from the recruitment process.
Argungu expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment exercise, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force and enhancing national security.
He also urged the successful recruits to uphold the values of dignity, integrity, and commitment in the discharge of their duties toward building a safer Nigeria.
