The Katsina State Government has ordered the closure of all public schools across the state due to mounting concerns over the deteriorating security situation in some areas.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, parents, teachers, and the general public were directed to comply immediately to safeguard the lives of students and staff while authorities continue to monitor security developments statewide.
The government said the decision to close the schools became necessary to prevent any potential threats to lives, adding that updates will be provided as new measures are taken.
