BREAKING: Kaduna NDLEA capture 103 suspects in fight against  drug traffickers

The Kaduna State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) disclosed the confiscation of 1,458.709 kilograms of illegal substances in December. 

According to the agency’s Press Officer, Shuaibu Omale, who conveyed the information to Press in Kaduna on Tuesday, various illicit drugs like cocaine, heroin, cannabis, tramadol, methamphetamine, and other psychotropic substances were seized.

In parallel, the spokesperson mentioned that the command successfully apprehended 103 suspects, comprising individuals involved in drug trafficking, dealing, and usage.

Omale underscored the command’s dedication to public awareness, highlighting the implementation of numerous programs across the state aimed at educating the public about the harmful consequences of drug use and illicit trafficking.

He emphasized, “It is essential to highlight that 26 locations facilitating illicit drug activities were dismantled, and the command achieved six convictions while bringing charges against 24 suspects in the month of December 2023.”
