A fatal road accident has occurred along the Keffi–Akwanga Road, near Package Company, leaving multiple casualties.
The incident, which happened moments ago, involved a Sharon vehicle and a Dangote truck. Eyewitnesses at the scene said the Sharon vehicle was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it brushed against the Dangote truck, resulting in a severe collision.
According to eyewitness accounts, only one occupant of the Sharon vehicle survived the crash, while others were feared dead. The impact reportedly caused extensive damage to the vehicle.
Security personnel and emergency responders are expected at the scene as rescue and recovery operations continue.
Traffic movement along the axis has been affected, with motorists advised to exercise caution, The News Chronicle gathered.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
