BREAKING: EFCC Moves to Take Over Abubakar Malami’s Maitama Residence Amid Probe

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved to take over the Maitama residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Abuja.

Operatives of the anti-graft agency, reportedly led by Folarin Dare, arrived at the property in about five buses. Dressed in their red and black jackets and heavily armed, the officials barricaded the road leading to the residence.

The property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, was sealed off, preventing access to the premises. Residents and passersby were unable to approach the area as security was tightened.

The action is believed to be connected to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties involving the former minister. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the development.
