The Dangote Refinery has raised the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by ₦75 per liter and has temporarily suspended product sales following a disruption to its Proforma Invoice processing system.
Data from Petroleumprice.ng and confirmation from a refinery official on Wednesday showed that the loading price jumped from ₦1,200 to ₦1,275 per liter. Coastal supply also rose to ₦1,215 per liter.
The official confirmed the adjustment, saying, “Yes, the increase of PMS to ₦1,275 per liter is true. Coastal price is ₦1,215.”
The price review comes alongside operational challenges that forced a halt in sales. According to industry sources, the refinery suspended its Proforma Invoice entry process around 4 pm on Tuesday, April 28, disrupting normal loading schedules across its distribution network.
The suspension reportedly affected both petrol and Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) transactions, triggering uncertainty in the downstream market.
Marketers and traders are now bracing for higher depot costs, with fears that the latest adjustment could lead to further increases in pump prices nationwide.
