A correctional officer serving at the Kogi State Correctional Facility has reportedly taken his own life.
According to reports, the officer consumed a toxic substance, believed to be Sniper, and died in a hotel near the Baptist Church in Lokoja.
This development comes shortly after reports on the tragic murder of Ayo, a photojournalist from Kogi State.
Ayo was allegedly killed by a neighbour, who is said to be the same correctional officer. His body was dismembered, and the remains were found stuffed in a freezer in Lokoja.
