UPDATE: BREAKING: ASUU Extends Strike by 3 Months

—

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has extended its ongoing strike by another 12 weeks after the initial warning strike which expired on Sunday, May 8.

This was made known in a statement signed by the ASUU chairman, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke. He said the extended strike is to give the government ample time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues.

”we have decided to extend the strike till August 1st, 2022”, Prof. Emmanuel says.

The Union expressed that this decision was made after a National Executive Council meeting at Comrade Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, on Sunday, in University of Abuja.
