At least 11 people—including a pregnant woman, nursing mothers, and children have been kidnapped in a fresh bandit attack in Isapa, near Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara State.
The assault occurred around 6 p.m. on Monday, barely 24 hours after church service abduction victims in nearby Ekuru were freed, The News Chronicle gathered.
Eyewitnesses said 20–30 gunmen fired sporadically, forcing residents to flee.
It was learned that an elderly woman was hit by a stray bullet during the attack .
“Seven of the victims are from the same household,” a community leader said.
Among those abducted are Sarah Sunday, 22, pregnant, and children aged 5 to 10.
Spent AK-47 shells littered the town, heightening fear as security agencies and vigilantes scramble to rescue the captives.
