BREAKING: 18 Killed as Commercial Vehicle Crashes with Truck in Kebbi

At least 18 residents of Sokoto State have lost their lives in a tragic road accident along the Koko – Jega Road in Kebbi State while returning home from Lagos.
The victims were travelling in a commercial vehicle when the crash occurred. Preliminary reports indicate that the accident resulted from a head-on collision between the commercial vehicle and an oncoming truck.
Several other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash. Emergency responders and security personnel quickly arrived at the scene, rescued the injured, and transported them to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The bodies of the deceased were also evacuated for identification and burial.
Authorities have expressed condolences to the families of the victims and called on motorists to strictly observe traffic regulations to help curb the rising number of fatal road accidents across the country.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is expected to provide further details.
