Borno State Govt has granted a road contract worth N10.9 billion to Dan Nene

The Borno state government recently signed a substantial contract exceeding N10.9 billion with Dan Nene Construction Company.

This agreement involves the construction of three significant roads within the state. The official contract signing event unfolded at the office of the Commissioner for Works and Housing, Musa Usman Secretariat, Maiduguri, on Thursday.

Eng. Mustapha Gubio, the Commissioner for Works and Housing, represented the state government during the contract signing.

He revealed that a 40 percent down payment of the contract sum had already been made to the contractor.

Gubio emphasized that subsequent payments would be facilitated upon the presentation of valuations duly vetted by on-site engineers.

With the initial 40 percent payment, the commissioner expressed expectations for substantial progress within a short timeframe, aiming for the timely completion of the project.

Gubio highlighted that, among the applicants for the project, Dan Nene Construction Company stood out as the most suitable.

He urged the company to fulfill the project within the specified eight-month period and strictly adhere to project specifications.

Furthermore, the commissioner directed consultants, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain a continuous on-site presence, ensuring strict adherence to quality and standard specifications.

Gratitude was extended to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his commitment to development and consistent support, including the timely release of funds for various projects across the state.

Mr. Li Chao, representing the construction company, conveyed sincere appreciation to the Borno state government for recognizing their merit in being awarded the contract.

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, he extended thanks on behalf of the entire company.

In his statement, Mr. Chao not only acknowledged the honor bestowed upon them but also assured government officials of their unwavering commitment to ensuring the project’s punctual and triumphant conclusion.

He pledged the company’s dedication to meeting all requirements and surpassing expectations, emphasizing the significance of delivering a high-quality result within the agreed-upon timeframe.

Furthermore, Mr. Li Chao conveyed a sense of responsibility, highlighting the team’s collective effort and expertise that would be employed to bring the construction endeavor to fruition.

This assurance aimed to instill confidence in the government’s decision while underscoring the company’s eagerness to contribute positively to the local community through the successful execution of the project.
