The Borno State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old woman for allegedly smuggling tramadol after she was found in possession of 89 sachets of the banned substance.
According to police sources, the suspect was apprehended during a routine operation at a motor park in the state. The illicit drugs were reportedly concealed inside bags of maize flour in an attempt to evade detection.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the tramadol sachets were carefully hidden and packaged to avoid suspicion during transit. The police said the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and abuse across the state.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
The Borno State Police Command reiterated its commitment to combating the distribution of illicit drugs and urged members of the public to provide useful information to support security agencies in the fight against drug-related crimes.
