Beloved Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer, Mandojo, has tragically passed away.
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, Mandojo’s life was cut short in a heartbreaking incident. He was mistaken for a thief and beaten to death.
The news of his passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many. His close friend, musician Soggy Doggy, shared his sorrow on social media, writing, “My heart is in great pain. I will miss you so much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Life is so short on this earth. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and especially my brother @domokayatz. God’s work is beyond our understanding.”
Another friend, Domo Kaya, also expressed his grief, saying, “I can’t believe this… The 22nd of this month was supposed to be your birthday. Why did this have to happen? This is so painful. Rest in peace, my dear friend and brother. May God shine His eternal light upon you.”
Mandojo’s death comes just days before what would have been his birthday. He was known and loved for his hit songs like “Nikupe” and “Dingi.” His loss is felt deeply by all who knew him.
