Boko Haram kill 20 in Maiduguri

About 20 people were feared killed while several others sustained injuries when some suspected Boko Haram members launched separate attacks in Gajiram and Bulabulin Ngawra villages of Maiduguri, setting houses ablaze.

Safe the resistance by the combined efforts of the vigilante youths and JTF operatives, the casualty rate could have sky-rocketed.

Although, Governor Kashim Shettima and his deputy, Alhaji Zanna Mustapha, were reportedly out of Maiduguri on official assignment , the State Attorney-General, Kaka Lawan, along with the chairman of the local government council and some senior police officers were said to have visited Gajiram to commiserate with the residents.
