Ossai Ovie Success, a social commentator and aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed disappointment over the lack of transformation in popular crossdresser Bobrisky’s appearance and persona after his six-month prison stint.
In a Facebook post, Success revealed his surprise at Bobrisky’s unaltered presentation, expecting a shift in his identity or appearance following his incarceration. Instead, Bobrisky remains steadfast in his transgender identity, with some individuals continuing to acknowledge and respect his chosen pronouns and titles.
Success’ comments have sparked a broader conversation about gender identity, self-expression, and societal acceptance. While some may share Success’ expectations of a prison-induced transformation, others see Bobrisky’s unwavering commitment to his identity as a testament to his resilience and authenticity.
“I had expected to see some changes in his appearance or perspective, but it seems that his time in prison did not alter his sense of self.Â
“It’s also noteworthy that some people continue to refer to him using feminine pronouns and titles, which may reflect their acceptance and support of his identity,” Ossai wrote.
