Bluesky Adds Vertical Video Feed To App

Bluesky has introduced a new custom feed for vertical videos on its platform.

The feature allows users to explore trending videos in the app’s “Explore” section.
Like other apps with vertical video options, users can swipe up to view more content.
This feed can be pinned to the home screen or added to a list of feeds, providing flexibility for customization.
Bluesky recommended restarting the app if the feature isn’t immediately visible.
The platform also acknowledged the growing number of developers creating TikTok alternatives using its decentralized AT Protocol.
These apps, such as Tik.Blue and Skylight.Social, are in the early testing phase.
Bluesky’s update comes as TikTok faces service disruptions and remains unavailable on major app stores.
Amid this, Bluesky has seen significant growth, surpassing 28 million users.
Other platforms, including X and Meta, are also expanding their video-focused offerings to fill the gap left by TikTok.
