The Football Governing is set to introduce the use of blue cards during professional games.
A player who commits cynical fouls or shows dissent will be shown the card and would be out of play (in the sin-bin) for 10 minutes.
MSport on their Facebook page, said this about the development:
“A blue card is to be introduced in professional football as part of sin-bin trials, According to reports, the card will see players removed from the field for 10 minutes if they commit a cynical foul or show dissent.”
ESPN also asserted this on their Facebook page:
“Players who commit cynical fouls and dissent will receive a blue card and leave the pitch for 10 minutes.”
Many football fans have countered this new development, asserting that it would ruin the beautiful game.
