The union of these two souls from Umarichi Abo-Otukpa and Akpagodogbo-Otukpa, respectively, marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
On the radiant Friday morning of April 5th, 2024, the air in Akpagodogbo-Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State, was filled with anticipation as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered at the compound of Mr. Pius Audu, the bride’s father. Under the azure sky adorned with fluffy clouds, the traditional marriage ceremony unfolded in a tapestry of cultural richness and heartfelt emotion.
Amidst the harmonious tunes of traditional music and the vibrant colors of the Benue culture, Victoria, resplendent in a stunning traditional attire, walked gracefully towards her beloved Shedrach. With each step, she carried not just the beauty of tradition but also the promise of a lifelong commitment. Shedrach, handsome in his traditional regalia, awaited her with anticipation, his eyes reflecting the depth of his love and devotion.

The festivities continued the following day, April 6th, with the solemnity of the white wedding ceremony at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Harvest Parish in Olachagba-Otukpa. Sermonizing on “Marriage as God’s own Idea,” the Zonal Pastor, Mercy Ogobodo who hinged her message on Genesis 2:23-25, charged the couple to adhere strictly to the principles of Christ for their marriage to work. She urged them not to take their marital issues to a third party.
The cleric, while enjoining the couple not to deviate from the principles of God, prayed that the Marriage shall stand the test of time and they shall forever be united in holy matrimony.
Meanwhile, amidst the ethereal ambiance of the church adorned with hues of blue, white, and gold, Victoria and Shedrach exchanged vows of eternal love and fidelity, witnessed by family and friends.
The celebration reached its pinnacle at the reception held at Mr. Pius Audu’s compound, where guests were treated to a feast fit for royalty. Sumptuous delicacies tantalized the taste buds, while laughter and music filled the air.
