Comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate DeeOne has refuted claims made by fellow former housemate Josephine Otabor, commonly known as Phyna, that he is gay, exposing the possible source of her claim.
After DeeOne refuted Phyna’s claim on her podcast, Spill With Phyna, that she turned down a N5 million offer for sex at a nightclub, Phyna went on to describe DeeOne as gay. She had stated in response to his video that she would not converse verbally with a gay man.
Through X, their coworker Chizzy Francis warned DeeOne and urged him to learn how to mind his own business.
DeeOne remarked, “I just saw a tweet where Phyna leaked my sexuality and said that I’m gay,” in response to her assertions that he is gay. I was against it being released earlier. She may have said that in response to my video challenging her assertion that she would not accept N5m for sex. Even when I told you I did believe you, you went on and hurt me.
But DeeOne said that his response was only meant to make fun of Phyna and stated he didn’t want to “fight with a woman.”
