Bauchi govt devises plan to establish an inclusive education system

Dr. Jamila Dahiru, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Education, explained that the state has a plan to use inclusive education in all schools.

This means that all children, no matter their differences, will be able to learn together in the same schools.

She talked to reporters at the Government House and said that the Federal Government also supports this idea to make sure no one is treated unfairly in schools.

Dr. Dahiru mentioned that her ministry told the State Executive Council about the progress of renovating the Special Education Center in Yelwa.

The council agreed to provide everything needed for students with special needs to learn well.

Even though the Ministry of Education doesn’t make money, they ask parents for small amounts for things like PTA fees and exams.

Dr. Jamila Dahiru wants every child in Bauchi State to go to school, no matter if they have physical challenges or not.

She also talked about the AGILE project. The state government finished everything they needed to do, and they sent the plan to the World Bank for approval.

Now, they are waiting for the State Ministry of Finance to finish the paperwork so they can get the money.

There were some misunderstandings at first, but the Project Implementation Unit helped to clear them up by talking to and educating the communities.
