Bauchi governor test positive to Coronavirus

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has tested positive to the dreaded Coronavirus after coming in contact with the son of former Vice-President of Nigeria, Mohammed Atiku Abubakar who is undergoing treatment and put on Isolation for the virus.

According to a press statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, which was issued to newsmen in Bauchi, out of the six initial tests carried out on Governor Mohammed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, one sample tested positive to COVID 19.

“At this point, it should be noted that the Governor is in self-isolation as his doctors and officials of the NCDC have taken full charge of his quarantine”

“His Excellency solicit for prayers from all and request that all those who had contact with him or anyone is known to have the same medical condition to go for the test immediately to avert further spread of the COVID 19 epidemic” The statement read
