Barcelona Wants Harry Kane After Lewandowski Exit

Barcelona have reportedly identified England captain Harry Kane as their leading transfer target as the Spanish champions begin plans for life after Robert Lewandowski.

The News Chronicle reports that Bayern Munich striker’s representatives first contacted the Catalan club, and more talks are scheduled after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Barcelona’s top option to lead their attack following Lewandowski’s alleged transfer to Major League Soccer is Kane, who has had a successful run in Germany. Though the club has money problems, Barcelona are thought to be looking for means of funding a seasoned forward’s transfer.

Early signs, however, point to the move might be challenging, as Kane is said to be based at Bayern Munich and concentrated only on England’s World Cup effort. The prolific striker has strengthened his reputation as among Europe’s most dependable goal scorers by maintaining his great scoring form.

Barcelona is also considering other attacking targets in case a Kane transfer falls through. Still, club executives still think the England international has the experience, leadership, and finishing skills required to lead their next generation as they get ready for yet another extensive makeover.
