Barcelona is weighing up a shock summer move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they begin planning for life after Robert Lewandowski.
According to Barca Universal, the Galatasaray forward has emerged as one of several attacking options under consideration at the Camp Nou, with the club actively searching for a long-term No. 9.
Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez remains Barcelona’s preferred target to lead the next phase of their attack.
However, growing uncertainty over the feasibility of that deal has forced the Catalan giants to widen their search.
Osimhen has now entered the conversation.
The 27-year-old has been in red-hot form at Galatasaray, netting an impressive 56 goals in just 70 appearances across two standout seasons.
With his contract running until 2029, prising him away will be no easy task, but his goal-scoring pedigree has made him a serious option.
Despite his numbers, Osimhen is not currently Barcelona’s first choice. Concerns over his temperament, widely linked to his dramatic exit from Napoli in 2024, continue to cast a shadow over his candidacy.
Meanwhile, other previously linked names have fallen by the wayside. Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović is no longer seen as a suitable fit, even with the lure of a free transfer, while Benjamin Šeško has dropped off the radar after a €76.5 million move to Manchester United failed to deliver immediate impact.
