Coach Hansi Flick took full responsibility for the loss, stating, “We have to accept this defeat. We didn’t play well. I take responsibility.” Flick acknowledged Barcelona’s subpar performance, citing mistakes and necessary lineup rotations due to the accumulation of games and minutes.
“We made a lot of mistakes,” Flick admitted. “We made a lot of rotations to the team, and maybe that’s one reason why, but they were necessary.”
Flick briefly addressed the potential controversy surrounding Osasuna’s second goal, hinting at a possible foul, but swiftly moved on. “From what I heard, there may have been a foul… but the referee has decided. It’s part of the past, and I don’t think about it anymore.”
Despite being ravaged by injuries, Flick refused to make excuses. “We have many injured players, but no excuses,” he asserted.
Barcelona’s depleted squad faces significant shortages, with only three midfielders and one defender playing out of position.
