Bandits Launch Another Attack in Danbaza, Zamfara State, Abduct 47 People

Bandits attacked Danbaza community in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State and abducted over 47 people, on Monday.

Among the kidnapped are eleven members of a single family, according to Mustapha Danbaza, a resident of the village.

Mustapha revealed that just a few weeks ago, a commercial vehicle filled with passengers was attacked by bandits in the same area. Unfortunately, there has been no information regarding the fate of those victims.

Maradun, the hometown of former governor Bello Matawalle, now serving as Minister of State for Defense, has been plagued by a series of armed bandit attacks.

The most recent attack prior to this one occurred in Gora community, resulting in several abductions.

The region, including Janbako and other villages, has been under constant threat from armed bandits for some time now, causing significant distress among the residents.

ASP Yazid, the spokesman for the State Police Command, stated that he would verify the details of the incident and provide a report to the press.
