Bandits have kidnapped several people in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
At least six farmers were abducted while working on their bean farms in Layin Danauta village, Kuyello Ward, on Monday evening.
A resident who confirmed the incident said the victims are his relatives, and the number of kidnapped farmers may be higher as more names are still being identified.
In another attack, traders traveling to the weekly Layin Danauta market were also kidnapped.
The attackers intercepted a golf car at Kwanan Danwandara in Tabani Ward and took all the passengers, including the driver, into the forest.
The vehicle was reportedly overloaded, making it difficult to know the exact number of victims.
Additionally, two people riding on a motorcycle in the same area were also abducted. The traders were traveling from Dandume in Katsina State, while the two people on the motorcycle are residents of Kuyello Ward in Birnin Gwari.
