Ballon d’or and FIFA awards are losing integrity – Cristiano Ronaldo

Portuguese great, Cristiano Ronaldo has asserted that the annual awards of Ballon d’or and FIFA awards are losing integrity.

In a post shared by Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo said that he no longer believes in the awards.

“We have to analyse the entire season. It’s not to say that Messi didn’t deserve the award, or Haaland or even Mbappe, I simply no longer believe in these awards”.

“It’s not because I won at the Globe Soccer but these are facts, numbers are there and they don’t deceive”.

“They ’ ’ , I’m happier because the numbers are facts”.

“If you go back and see what happened at Man United and Portugal, ….”.

“But the truth is that I focused and had a great period at Al Nassr, that’s why I scored 54 goals”, he told Record.

Ronaldo, 38 has been arch-rival with Lionel Messi in the last two decades in which both have dominated the world of football.

Messi has an edge over Ronaldo following his 8 ballon d’or award landmark he reached this year. Ronaldo refers to himself as a great despite the popular opinion that Messi is better.
