Baba Fryo Accuses Comedian Nasboi of Stealing His Famous “Denge Pose” Lyrics, Issues Warning

Veteran Nigerian singer Baba Fryo has publicly accused popular comedian Nasboi (real name: Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji) of stealing his famous lyrics from the song “Denge Pose.”

In a recent video, Baba Fryo expressed his anger and frustration over Nasboi’s use of his well-known “Denge Pose” lyrics in a new song called “Short Skirt.”

The singer made it clear that he is unhappy with people repeatedly using his music without his permission. He emphasized that this incident with Nasboi will be the last time anyone uses his work without proper acknowledgment.

Baba Fryo didn’t just express his displeasure; he also issued a stern warning. He urged Nasboi’s management to contact him as soon as possible to address the situation. Otherwise, he said, he would take necessary action against them.

In his own words, Baba Fryo said:

Nigerian people, I greet you all. This kind of thing has been happening for a long time, and I’m not happy about it. Now, I want to take action. You see that song Nasboi sang about short skirts? My lyrics are in that music—‘dem go dey pose,’ ‘dem go dey denge denge’—that’s my song.

So, anyone who knows Nasboi, please tell him to reach out to me before things get worse. Because as I stand here, I’m not happy, and this must be the last time anyone uses my music or copies my work without my permission. So please, let him contact me before I take action. Thank you, and God bless you.”
