Aviation Ministry Denies Allegations of Fire-Fighting Simulator Transfer

—

The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has strongly refuted claims circulating in a recent video suggesting plans to relocate a fire-fighting simulator from the Nigerian College of Technology, Zaria to Lagos State.

The allegations, labeled as unsubstantiated and mere mischief, were brought to light in a motion presented on the floor of the House of Representatives by a member urging the House to intervene and halt the purported move.

In response to these rumors, Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, labeled the claims as baseless and asserted that they were driven by individuals seeking to sow discord.

Moshood emphasized that the ministry had already addressed the matter in a private audience with the Speaker of the House, affirming unequivocally that there was no truth to the allegations. Additionally, the Minister personally contacted the Rector of the school, who also confirmed that the rumors were entirely unfounded.

“While we appreciate the concern demonstrated by the House in entertaining the motion, it was entirely unnecessary given the prior assurance provided by the Minister and the Rector,” stated Moshood.

He further urged the public to disregard such rumors, dismissing them as attempts by certain parties to engage in political grandstanding.
