The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commiserated with the family of a 12-year-old, Sylvester Oromoni, a student who died under controversial circumstances. Oromoni was allegedly beaten to a pulp by his fellow students in the school for refusing to join a cult. Perrie, an uncle to the deceased in a post on his Twitter account disclosed that his cousin suffered severe injuries which led to his death. Some students of Ojodu Grammar School in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos State have been killed while others sustained severe injuries during a freak accident on Tuesday afternoon. Justice Oyegoke Bolarinwa Babalakin has died. The retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, died on Saturday morning aged 94 He is expected to be buried at his Gbongan, Osun State, country home according to Islamic rites. A devout, the late Justice Babalakin was an active member of the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria. He was also a former president of the Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria. Two cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced on Wednesday.
