Nigeria has finished second at the 13th African Games after raking in 47 gold, 33 silver and 40 bronze medals in 25 sports at the competition. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have seized over 44,948.1kg of illicit drugs and arrested eight suspects in multiple raids across Lagos, Edo and Ondo states as well as seized 11 vehicles owned by the drug cartels. A late-night fire outbreak on Tuesday in Kumbotso local government area of Kano State resulted in the destruction of no less than 40 shops valued in millions of naira.
