Prominent Nigerian political leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday converged in Abuja to attend the 60th birthday celebration of former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The event is currently taking place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in the Maitama district of the nation’s capital, drawing top politicians, elder statesmen, and other dignitaries from across the country.
Tambuwal, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives and two-term governor of Sokoto State, is widely regarded as a key figure in Nigeria’s political landscape.
His milestone birthday celebration has become a platform for high-level interactions among major political actors, further underlining his influence in national politics.
The gathering is being closely watched, coming amid ongoing political realignments and discussions ahead of future electoral contests in the country.
