Former Vice President and presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, has declared that he would reverse all policies and actions implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Wednesday night, Abubakar expressed strong dissatisfaction with the current administration, stating that he feels “terribly disappointed” in Tinubu’s leadership.
When asked to identify a specific policy he would reverse, the former vice president responded emphatically, saying, “Everything is wrong with President Tinubu.” He further stressed that he would not hesitate to undo the administration’s decisions if given the mandate to lead the country.
“In my life, this is the worst administration that I have seen in this country,” Abubakar said, reiterating his disappointment.
The former vice president is now a leading figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which has emerged as a coalition platform for several opposition politicians seeking to unseat Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
The coalition includes prominent political figures such as Peter Obi, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, David Mark, and Nasir El-Rufai, many of whom were previously aligned with Tinubu at different stages of their political careers.
Tinubu, who was elected president in 2023 under the APC, is expected to seek re-election in 2027. The emerging opposition alliance signals a potentially fierce contest, as former allies turn rivals in the battle for Nigeria’s top office.
