ASUU Accuses FG of Failing to Implement 2025 Agreement, Warns of Fresh Crisis

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has accused the Federal Government of failing to fully implement the 2025 FG/ASUU agreement, just five months after its signing.

Speaking in Keffi, the union said lecturers still face unpaid allowances, salary arrears, pension issues, and withheld salaries from the 2022 strike.

ASUU’s Abuja Zone Coordinator, Adamu Al-Abdullahi, warned that continued failure to honour the agreement could trigger fresh industrial unrest in public universities.

The union also criticised irregular university appointments and called for urgent action to improve lecturers’ welfare
