The Nigerian Army has announced that troops from the 6 Division have arrested the individual responsible for the recent deadly attack on Mararaban Azagwa, Maihura, located in the Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.Â
The arrest took place on Wednesday during an operation carried out by the troops. During the arrest, the troops also recovered a motorcycle and several guns from the suspect.
According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, the arrested suspect is believed to be the mastermind behind the attack on the agrarian community in Taraba State, which resulted in the deaths of at least six people.
Makama mentioned that the suspect is currently being interrogated, and more details about the attack are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
The military has assured the public that efforts will continue to track down the remaining individuals involved in the attack. They are committed to bringing all responsible parties to justice.
