Apple to Stop Selling Some Smartwatches in the US

Tech giant, Apple will stop selling certain smartwatch models in the United States. This decision is because of a disagreement over technology that measures blood oxygen levels.

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) suggested stopping imports of Apple Watch models that might be using technology from Masimo Corp without permission.

This move might happen after Christmas, unless President Biden decides otherwise. Apple is being proactive by stopping sales of these models online from December 21 and in stores after December 24.

Masimo, the company with the disputed technology, supports the decision to stop Apple’s sales. They believe it is important to respect ownership of ideas.

However, Apple doesn’t agree with the USITC’s decision. They’re ready to challenge it in a federal court if needed.
