APC National Chairman Commissions Road Named After Him in Gombe

APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Gamduje, Governor of Gombe, Inuwa Yahaya among others

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, made an appearance in Gombe on Wednesday for the commissioning of a road constructed under the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

This newly inaugurated road, spanning 1.6 kilometers, connects several communities within Akko local government area, including Nayi-Nawa, Kuwait, Bagadaza, Hammadu kafi, and Wuro Biriji, ultimately linking the GRA to the Gombe Southern By-pass.

The significance of this road lies not only in its physical infrastructure but also in its potential to alleviate the daily struggles faced by the residents of these densely populated areas and to stimulate commercial activities within the region.

During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje expressed his gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the honor of having the road named after him. He commended the Governor for his dedication to transformative governance in Gombe state, noting the remarkable progress achieved under his leadership.

“Today, we are in Gombe on the invitation of my brother, His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, for a political function as regards the forthcoming Local Government Elections. To my delight, the Governor has graciously chosen to honour me by naming an important road after me which I am deeply grateful for”, the APC Chairman said. ”

Ganduje highlighted the alignment of Governor Yahaya’s accomplishments with the core principles of the APC, emphasizing the party’s commitment to improving the lives of the people through infrastructural development and welfare initiatives.

Acknowledging Governor Yahaya’s exemplary leadership, Ganduje remarked on the pride felt by President Tinubu and the APC leadership in the achievements of the Gombe state government.

“President Tinubu and the leadership of our party are very proud of the accomplishments of Governor Inuwa Yahaya. His outstanding leadership sets an example, bringing positive change to Gombe state. We are aware that through extensive infrastructure projects and welfare initiatives, the Governor consistently delivers on our party’s founding principles by improving the lives of the people of Gombe state”, Ganduje added.”

He lauded Governor Yahaya’s efforts in delivering on the party’s founding principles and emphasized the importance of continued support from the people of Gombe state to sustain effective governance.

The commissioning ceremony also provided an opportunity for Engr. Maijama’a Kallamu, the Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, to brief Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and his delegation on the extensive road construction initiative known as ‘Network 11-100’.

This initiative aims to construct a minimum of 100 kilometers of roads in each of the state’s 11 local government areas, underscoring the commitment of the government to infrastructural development across the state.

The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Governor Inuwa Yahaya, Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters Alh. Ibrahim Masari, Chief Whip of the House of Representatives Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, members of the National Working Committee of the APC, Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Abubakar Luggerewo, State Chairman of the APC Mr. Nitte Amangal, Chief of Staff to the Governor Alh. Abubakar Inuwa Kari, and other government officials and party stakeholders.

Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the collaborative efforts towards achieving developmental goals in Gombe state.
