Former governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido has stated that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP is even more repositioned for leadership now that those who never meant well for the party and the country at large, have left the party.
Speaking on Arise News on Friday February 2 2024, the PDP Chieftain noted that the party is not desperate to have more persons join it stressing that everyone has the right to decide which of the political parties best suit their interest and has empathy for the masses at heart.
While berating the All Progressives Congress, APC for being wicked, satanic and inconsiderate to the plight of the Nigerian masses, the former foreign affairs minister enjoined citizens to only through their weight behind a party based on its capacity and compassion to lift the poor masses out of hardship.
Lamido who stated that Nigerians should hold the APC led administration accountable for the current woes plaguing the nation, added that during PDP’s reign in government, Nigerians vehemently criticized the party for being evil to a point that that they(Nigerians) voted them out of power.
He said that it would rather be unfair to the PDP for the same Nigerians who called the party all sorts of names, to now make a U-turn and blame the party for not advising the Tinubu led government on the worsening challenges bedeviling the nation.
