APC Confident of Winning 2027 Elections -Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, says he is confident that the party will retain the presidency and win more states in the 2027 general elections.

He made the statement in Abuja during a courtesy visit from the Women Leaders Support Advancement group, which promotes greater involvement of women in governance.

Prof. Yilwatda said his confidence comes from the increasing nationwide support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, the APC is “fully prepared for the future,” and he believes the party will win convincingly in 2027. He also stated that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda is creating more opportunities for women and young people, and that the government’s policies align with Nigerians’ desire for inclusive leadership.

The APC has shifted its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, originally planned for December 15 and 16, 2025.

The National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, announced that the meetings will now be held on December 18 and 19 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, without giving an official reason for the change.

However, top party sources told Newsmen that the postponement was made to fit President Tinubu’s schedule so he can attend. Another source linked the change to the Osun APC governorship primary taking place on December 13, saying the party wanted to ensure key stakeholders could participate fully.

APC National Director of Publicity, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, said such adjustments are normal when planning high-level meetings that involve senior government officials.
